Far before I became a keynote speaker, I had a habit of stepping into shoes that were far too big.

At 23 years old, I decided I wanted to become the best triathlete in the world.

There was just one tiny problem…
I couldn’t swim.
When Bek and I bought homes for our horses, they were almost always beyond what felt comfortable financially.
When I bought my first beautiful suits, I wasn’t dressing for the woman I was…
I was dressing for the woman I intended to become.
When we started Believe Ranch & Rescue, we had no idea how to run a rescue.
When I was diagnosed with AML leukemia, I didn’t know if I could survive.
But I did know this…
Every one of those moments demanded that I become someone bigger than I was yesterday.
I’ve realized that’s been a pattern throughout my life.
I don’t wait until I feel ready.
I step into something that stretches me, trusting that I’ll grow into the person capable of carrying it.
The dream comes first.
The growth follows.
Too many people wait until they feel qualified before chasing the life they want.
But what if the dream itself is the very thing that transforms you?
What if the bigger house, the new role, the business, the championship, the mission, or even the challenge you’re facing today isn’t asking whether you’re ready…
What if it’s asking who you’re willing to become?
Maybe that’s how extraordinary lives are built.
Not by already having what it takes…
But by choosing something that requires you to discover it.
So here’s what I’ve come to believe…
Choose a dream that’s bigger than you.
One that stretches you. One that scares you just enough. One that calls you to grow.
Then become the person who can live it.
Because the most extraordinary dreams don’t come true because we’re ready.
They come true because we’re willing to become.
